Primary quarantining of likely spam is now
done through the "Friends Settings". If you have emails in your
Quarantine/Pending folder, you will receive an email summary once a day.
This email will contain links to deal with emails in this folder. You may
also access this folder under Friends Settings by clicking on the
pending folder (see red arrow in above image). This takes you to the Friends
Settings screen. You will find emails that have been identified as spam held
in the Quarantine/Pending folder. Emails in this folder will be
automatically deleted after two weeks. See arrows below for some suggested
Friends settings. You may adjust these settings to meet your preferences:

Warning!
If
you access the webmail page from a public
computer or from a computer that has been hacked or through a public network, either wired or wireless (such as a hotspot,
restaurant,
school, or a hotel), unauthorized individuals may be able to intercept your
user name, password, and your emails. In fact they could take complete
control of your account without your knowledge. Be aware that all
information you transmit and receive while connected to the internet outside
of our offices, either wired or wireless, may be intercepted by unauthorized
individuals!
Email and Privacy
Email is convenient and it is fast, but it is not private. As
the message passes from the sender's computer to the recipient's computer it
may proceed over many networks through many servers. It can be intercepted
and read by any number of individuals along the way. You should think of
email just like a postcard which can be read by everyone who handles it.
Additional Resources
Unwanted spam emails
costs businesses millions of dollars each year. Get more information on
Spam and fraudulent emails, by going to the Microsoft spam website "
What is Spam?".
Additional information can be found on the
Federal Trade
Commission SPAM site . This site contains information on the Federal
anti-spam laws as well as information for consumers and businesses. There
you may also file a complaint against deceptive email senders. The FTC
uses the spam stored in this database to pursue law enforcement actions
against people who send deceptive email. Note that the FTC does not resolve
individual consumer complaints.
